  • Where can I find your sodas?
We have a gift shop attached to our production facility at 35 Bridges St. in Waynesville, where you can buy all of our current sodas, our apparel, and a small assortment of regional items! If our Waynesville location isn’t convenient, please click on the ‘Where to Buy’ tab of our website.
  • Do you make the sodas and mixers yourself?
We do! From the local farmer's fresh produce delivery to the sodas and mixers on the shelf, we perform every step of the process. Admittedly, we don’t do much of the fruit-picking these days but initially, you’d find us picking fruit in season. Everything is made at our production facility and gift shop, located at 35 Bridges Street, Waynesville NC 28786. We have been making and selling our sodas at this location since 2018.
  • What is the history of The Waynesville Soda Jerks?
Megan Brown and Chris Allen launched their family business in 2013 with the goal of using fresh, locally grown ingredients to offer alternative sodas to the Western NC market. Since then, Megan and Chris have expanded their production and market reach while remaining true to their commitment to local farmers and producers. We proudly celebrated our 10th anniversary with new products and new labels in 2023!
  • Do the sodas need to be refrigerated?

  • What is the shelf-life of your sodas?
When refrigerated, the sodas have a shelf-life of six months.
  • Do you ship nationally?
Yes, we do! Please visit our Soda Shop tab on the top right of our website for our online store. Here you’ll find pricing for our sodas, available gift shop items, as well as real-time shipping information.
  • How and where are your sodas and cocktail mixers made?
From the local farmer's fresh produce delivery to the sodas and mixers on the shelf, we perform every step of the process. We buy fresh produce from local farmers, from which we create our own concentrated syrups. We make our sodas by adding fresh, filtered water and carbonation to our handmade syrups, and they are mixed as they are bottled. While we continue to perform some functions by hand, such as making our syrups, shrubs, and bitters, we have kettles, a brite tank, and bottling equipment, similar to what you would find at a microbrewery. As we grow, we’ll add equipment and enhance processes to ensure our ability to meet demand and craft the freshest and highest quality craft sodas available. Everything is made at our production facility and gift shop, located at 35 Bridges Street, Waynesville NC 28786. We have been making and selling our sodas at this location since 2018.
  • What is in the sodas and mixers?
Our ingredient list is very simple. We use fresh, locally sourced produce, filtered water, and locally-sourced cane sugar. That’s it!
  • Where do you get your ingredients?
Other than citrus fruits, our ingredients are sourced directly from local NC farms where they are grown. Think of us as a farm-to-bottle provider of distinctively flavored, craft sodas.
  • What is the shelf-life of your sodas?
When refrigerated, the sodas will last a minimum of six months.
  • What does locally-sourced mean, and what are the benefits?
Locally-sourced means we support our local community and purchase our ingredients from local farmers. It means we use fresh ingredients to provide a more natural product. Moreover, it means there’s more to Waynesville Soda Jerks than selling sodas. The main benefit of locally grown food is that it's fresher! Fruits and vegetables begin to lose their nutrients within 24 hours of being picked, so fresher produce is more nutritious. In addition, locally grown food is picked at its peak ripeness, when it's most dense with nutrients. You’re no doubt familiar with farm-to-table restaurants; think of our products as farm-to-bottle.
  • How much sugar does a bottle of soda contain?
All our sodas contain 20-30 grams of pure cane sugar per bottle.
  • Do you offer a sugar-free version of any of your sodas?
We do not currently make a sugar-free version of our soda. It might be worth noting that some of our products contain only about half as much sugar as the top-selling sodas!
  • Do you offer a root beer?
We do not. Because Sassafras trees don’t grow well in higher elevations, we have no option to source locally. Perhaps in the future, we’ll identify a source not too far removed from our Western NC community.
  • Can I buy your sodas for my wedding or event?
Yes! We may be biased, but we think your guests will be excited about the quality and unique flavors. Our non-alcoholic sodas delight straight from the bottle or when used as a mixer for specialty cocktails and mocktails. Learn more about our options (including bottle customization!) at our special events page.
  • Do you sell your sodas in kegs?
We are excited to start offering kegs of our craft sodas! They’re a great option for weddings, parties, or restaurants looking for something unique. Contact Carrah at carrah@waynesvillesodajerks.com to discuss availability, flavors, and set-up requirements.
  • Why should I carry your sodas?
Only you can make the decision to carry our products. It depends on whether your customers might enjoy drinking distinctively flavored, small-batch sodas made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients, without preservatives and without high-fructose corn syrup. If your customers enjoy farm-to-table restaurants, they might find our farm-to-bottle sodas and mixers appealing. Why not give us a try? You can tell your customers that they’re helping to support local farming and community sustainability.
  • Are your sodas available in kegs?
We’re excited to begin offering pony kegs of our sodas to bars, restaurants, and venues. They’re a perfect choice for craft cocktails, or as a non-alcoholic option that still feels special. Because this is a new offering, keg flavors may be limited — contact us at wholesaleorder@waynesvillesodajerks.com for details.
